Hey, I'm Nia, founder of Love Your Core and lead instructor at LYC Pilates. Thanks so much for dropping by! As a qualified pilates instructor with a passion for health and wellbeing, my classes are designed to boost your conficence and help you feel comfortable whilst working out. We provide both group classes and private sessions which are tailored to your body and personal goals from our private studio in Southampton. Whether you are new to Pilates or have been practicing for years, LYC Pilates is a supportive and inclusive community that welcomes everyone to join us.

I feel so tight and inflexible
Since COVID, I've been working from home sat at my desk all day; my posture is awful. My chest feels tight, my back and neck ache and when I stand up I feel like my legs need a good stretch. I feel so lethargic from being inactive all day. But when I get home my brain is so tired, I sit down and watch TV to switch off. I've just lost motivation to workout.
I just need some 'me time'
I'm a mum, working out is the last thing I want to do after a physical day with the kids I've been on my feet all day. Lifting the pram in and out of the car, bending over the bath, carrying my baby everywhere... I'm so tired and working out is the last thing I want to do. But I really want to find a way to get rid of these aches and pains and re energise. I need to get back some 'me time' and just do something for myself.

I want to tone up but I just don't like the gym
I'm feeling a bit unfit and out of shape, I have been to the gym a few times and then I just cancelled my membership because it wasn't worth the money. I felt really judged and like I don't know what I'm doing, it's just not for me. I've tried a few follow-along workouts on YouTube at home but it feels a bit lonely and I lose motivation after a while... I'm looking for a more fun, friendly environment where I don't have to get all sweaty. Surrounded by like-minded people and having an instructor to keep me motivated and tell me if I'm doing it right.
